- Utility Assistance (gas, electric, bulk fuels and water)
Through partnerships with the State of Ohio, City of Cleveland, Dominion, the Illuminating Company, Cleveland Public Power (CPP), City of Cleveland,Division of Water and the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, CHN administers large-scale utility assistance programs to low-income families in Cuyahoga County and Northeast Ohio.

- Foreclosure Prevention Program
CHN is part of the Cuyahoga County Foreclosure Prevention Coalition, Ohio’s Save the Dream initiative and the Hardest Hit Fund. Open to all Ohio residents, the Foreclosure Prevention program has a 79% success rate in helping at-risk families to avoid foreclosure and stay in their homes. Each year, CHN works with more than 500-1,000 at-risk homeowners.
- Tax Preparation
As a member of the Cuyahoga County EITC Tax Coalition, CHN helps families to avoid costly preparation fees and obtain the Earned Income Tax Credit. Each year, CHN prepares more than 500-1,000 tax returns for low- and moderate-income residents of Cuyahoga County, obtaining an average refund of $2,000 per family.
Approved PRC Applicants
Approved applicants can access their Prevention, Retention, & Contingency Assistance funds for their utilities by scheduling an appointment through Cleveland Housing Network’s live PRC Appointment Hotline.
