CLEVELAND HOUSING NETWORK RECEIVES
LARGEST IN-KIND GIFT IN ITS HISTORY
.

Moen Incorporated Donates $50,000 in Products

North Olmsted, Ohio - Those who take advantage of the affordable housing options offered by the Cleveland Housing Network, Inc. (CHN) will soon benefit from the latest faucet and showering products thanks to the generosity of Moen Incorporated. Recently, Moen donated 80 kitchen faucets, 80 bathroom faucets and 80 tub/shower units to the agency, a gift totaling $50,000. This donation is the largest in-kind gift ever received by the Cleveland Housing Network.

"Moen has stepped up to the plate with an incredibly generous donation that will assist us in providing quality, affordable housing for dozens of Cleveland's poorest families," said Rob Curry, Executive Director of Cleveland Housing Network. "We could not be successful in our mission of providing pathways out of poverty for low income families without the generous partnerships of companies like Moen. We deeply appreciate their leadership, and look forward to a very productive relationship."

"Moen has an already established partnership with Habitat for Humanity, but wanted to expand its efforts to reach even more families in the community," said Ed Hoffman, Director of Human Resources for Moen Incorporated. "By donating our product to the Cleveland Housing Network, we are touching numerous lives and further supporting the housing industry."

Each year, CHN helps hundreds of low-income families in the city of Cleveland find housing through its numerous programs. Moen's donation of faucets and shower units will be used in the agency's Capital Improvements Program which upgrades older housing units for either rental or Lease Purchase. CHN's innovative Lease Purchase program provides opportunities for home ownership to those who would not qualify for a conventional loan. By renovating older homes in Cleveland, CHN makes a positive impact on the streets and neighborhoods.

Cleveland Housing Network develops affordable housing in Cleveland's neighborhoods, with a special emphasis on serving families in poverty and on providing home ownership opportunities. To date, CHN has facilitated 2,000 Lease Purchase homes, 1,100 for-sale homes (in Homeward program), 53,700 energy conservation and repair jobs, helped 700 families obtain employment and leave public assistance and provided permanent housing and support services for 240 formerly homeless families.
