FIFTH THIRD BANK HELPS SUPPORT
THE CLEVELAND HOUSING NETWORK
Fifth
Third Bank, Northeastern Ohio is pleased to present a
grant for $50,000 to the Cleveland Housing Network's Community
Training & Technology Center to help support financial
literacy and homeownership.
"Fifth
Third has made a commitment to the communities it serves
by funding special projects through its charitable foundation
and the private foundations under its care," explains
Robert J. King, Jr., President and CEO of Fifth Third
Bank, Northeastern Ohio. "We are pleased to be a
part of a project that will ultimately build a stronger
future for those served by the organization."
The Cleveland Housing Network works to develop affordable
housing in Cleveland's neighborhoods, with a special emphasis
on serving families in poverty and on providing homeownership
opportunities. The Community Training & Technology
Center offers a strategic array of technology, money management,
homeownership training classes and family services that
together are helping to light a pathway out of poverty
for low-income families in Cleveland. Other offerings
at the Community Training & Technology Center include
basic and intermediary technology courses, health screenings
and free tax preparation services.
"Fifth Third has been a terrific partner to the Cleveland
Housing Network for many years, and this very significant
commitment to our Community Technology & Training
Center is particularly appreciated. With this grant, the
Cleveland Housing Network will be able to provide financial
literacy and homeownership training services to over 1500
Clevelanders and expand our reach to include more families
in need of affordable housing opportunities," says
Rob Curry, Executive Director Cleveland Housing Network.
