15 NEW HOMES FOR SALE IN TREMONT


WHAT: Groundbreaking ceremony to commence construction of the first house in the Scranton Village Project. Throughout several streets in the Tremont neighborhood, this local partnership will produce 15 new homes for sale through the Cleveland Housing Network (CHN) Homeward Program.

The Scranton Village project will produce 15 units of new, for-sale; market-rate housing in the Tremont neighborhood which will be sold through the CHN Homeward Program. The project is a collaboration between six local partners - CHN, the City of Cleveland, Tremont West Development Corporation, Rysar Properties, Sutton Builders, and Councilman Nelson Cintron, Jr - and represents a significant, concentrated investment in the Tremont neighborhood. With substantial input from local block clubs and our development partners, several streets were strategically identified for these new homes including Scranton Road, Holmden Avenue and Clover Avenue.

CHN provides member CDCs access to capital to develop affordable housing in the city of Cleveland. Since its formation in 1981, CHN has generated more than $220 million in capital investments in the Cleveland neighborhoods, the possibility of homeownership for 2,600 Cleveland families, and energy conservation and home repair services to 45,000 low-income households across Northeast Ohio. CHN currently produces about 300 homes annually, and provides weatherization and home repair services to more than 6,000 households a year.
