" CHN Gives CLIMB One Leg UP! "
.

CLIMB - Computer Learning In My Backyard is a community-sponsored program that gives Empowerment Zone residents the opportunity to:
· Earn an IC3 Certification, the internationally recognized certificate of basic computer skills for work and school
· Own an affordable new home computer system

Cleveland Housing Network has partnered with Cuyahoga Community College, City of Cleveland Empowerment Zone, Famicos Foundation, Ashbury Senior Computer & Computer Center and Cleveland Digital Vision to help residents learn computer skills to obtain a GED to get a job, get into college, or find the job training needed to move ahead.

CHN will provide financial literacy training, supply new affordable Dell computers for residents to purchase, and online database support for the program.

Dr. Melodie Mayberry-Steward, City of Cleveland, Chief Technology Officer explains, “This program is more than just closing the digital divide, it is developing a work force, and addressing the poverty issue.”
