2005 Contributors 2004 Contributors 2004 Contributors - Adopt-A-Family CONTRIBUTORS SPOTLIGHT CHN was recently awarded a $40,000 grant from the Saint Luke's Foundation to support CHN's Emergency Intervention Program. Essential to the success of CHN's comprehensive, "beyond bricks and mortar" approach to community development, the Emergency Intervention Program provides a critical safety net for families that are experiencing a crisis that threatens their housing. Through emergency rent and utility assistance coupled with wrap-around case management, this initiative effectively prevents homelessness amongst families that are working diligently towards homeownership and stability. This program is substantially supported by state and federal government subsidies that are directly applied to emergency rent and utility assistance for low-income families during times of unanticipated crisis. To help underwrite the cost of administering the critical case management services, this one-year grant of $40,000 from the Saint Luke's Foundation will support the salary of a Family Support Specialist. A big THANK YOU to the Saint Luke's Foundation for helping the Cleveland Housing Network bring critical supportive services to Cleveland's families so they can remain in their homes and on track for homeownership!
