Understanding and Improving Your Credit:

Learn how to read your credit report, how to pay off old debts, improve your credit rating, and re-establish credit. How much does it cost to use a credit card? Should you use layaway, or take out a loan. This class reviews the hidden costs of credit. The focus of this class is understanding how to determine the true cost of any form of credit prior to signing on the dotted line and then making informed decisions about when to use credit and when other options may be better.   Register Now

A 4-week class that reviews spending habits, goals, priorities, and what to consider when making decisions about how to spend money, includes credit information.   Register Now

Saving & Investing:

This is a 3-week class that will help participants design a savings plan that is based on their individual goals. You will explore the different vehicles for saving money, as well as learn about community programs designed to help you save. Register Now

Get Checking:

GET CHECKING offers you the opportunity to open an account that works for you, with a participating financial institution, even if you have had problems in the past. This program is designed for people who do not have an account with a financial institution. Once you complete this program, you will receive a certificate that enables you to open an account at a participating bank, as long as outstanding balances from previous accounts have been paid. There is a $25 fee for this program. Consumers who cannot afford the $25 fee may be able to pay a reduced fee based on income. Register Now
