Stepping Into Homeownership
This class is held once a week for 4 weeks. Each weekly session is 2 hours. The class covers the process of purchasing a home, how to clear up credit, how to determine how much you can afford to spend on a home, mortgage terms, and the art of successful homeownership. Appointments are also available with skills homeownership advisors to help you clear up credit and qualify for a mortgage loan.

**Life As A Lease Purchaser
This 2-hour class is designed for residents of Cleveland Housing Network’s lease-purchase homes. The class explains the roles and responsibilities of you as a tenant, as well as CHN’s responsibilities as a landlord. Home maintenance, timely rent payments, and your opportunity for successful homeownership are discussed.

This class helps to understand the buying process, and what residents’ can do right now to prepare for this big step. This class explains each step in the process, including how to protect theright to purchase when the lease is up, and how to protect the rights of a resident’s heirs.
