Financial Education

The Cleveland Housing Network’s Community Training Center is excited to announce its new financial literacy series with updated curriculum to help you achieve your goals. This series meets 2 hours once a week for 4 weeks. In addition to the group instruction students are invited to meet one on one with a financial planner and/or an individual counselor to help assess their own financial situation.

My Goals
Have you ever written down your goals? Even if you have, what happens next? How do your daily habits affect your ability to achieve your goals? This class focuses on your goals, and developing a plan for achieving them. It’s okay to dream. We look forward to helping you make your dreams come true!

My Money
A class to help you identify your goals and how your daily finances affect your ability to achieve your goals. You will work in groups to identify barriers, create a budget and begin to identify next steps to achieve your goals.

My Credit
Have you ever seen your credit report? Do you understand what is on it, how it got there, and how to make it go away? How does a creditor view your credit report? How can you improve it? This class will help you find the answers to these questions and others.

My Banking, Savings & Investing
Have you avoided using traditional banks because of the fees; because it’s all so confusing? This class will help clear up the confusion about using a checking and savings account and help you explore your options. This class will also explain net worth, and how to use financial planning to achieve your financial goals.
